Low fidelity

Zakat page design variants

Recommended base A · Mini homepage A short hero, then the live Nisab strip, six big signpost tiles (IR style), calculator and chatbot side by side, projects, impact, policy, major giving, resources, FAQ.
Personalised B · Ask first Two questions up top: "what do you want to know?" and "how much Zakat could you give?". The page filters itself; large amounts bring in Major Giving.
Task first C · Calculator first The calculator is the hero: tick what you own, fill only those, get the figure, see matching projects, then hand over to the chatbot.
IR inspired D · Open boxes Big question boxes that open in place: Zakat questions, eligible products with a mini donation form, and how we spend it, with no extra landing pages.
Emotional E · Stories first A film hero, a reels row and big story-to-product blocks. Tools and policy come after the proof. Best for social and campaign traffic.
Already built Plus · AI workspace (option D) The high-fidelity chat, donation items and basket layout from the last round. It slots into any variation as the chatbot module.

Our recommendation

Build A, and borrow the best of the others

A works as the mini homepage the team asked for. Add three modules to it:

  • B's two-question filter, placed under the hero ("how much Zakat could you give?" decides whether Major Giving shows).
  • C's tick-first calculator, handing over to the chatbot with the answers already filled in.
  • D's open-in-place boxes for resources and "how we spend it", instead of extra landing pages.

E's film hero is worth keeping as a campaign variant for Ramadan traffic from social.

Sector practice
  • Nisab is a top search term all year. A live, dated Nisab strip near the top earns traffic and trust.
  • Leading Zakat pages put the calculator one click from the hero and pass the figure straight into checkout.
  • Trust is specific: named scholars, a dated review, the policy, a clear 100% or 'amil statement. A badge alone doesn't do it.
  • Short video answers (what counts, gold, pensions) cut drop-off on rules-heavy content.
  • Large donors need a human route, so above about £5,000, offer a call, not just a cart.
  • The AI only answers from a written rules document, and says clearly when to speak to a person.
